You can use Ghostery Start Tab on its own or in combination with the extension “Ghostery – Privacy Ad Blocker” for even more privacy protection. In the latter case, Ghostery Start Tab additionally displays a useful privacy overview.

MORE PRIVACY
The private search engine Ghost Search displays website suggestions directly below the search bar while you're typing your query: simply type, select a suggested site or press Enter for more results. Get weather forecasts, currency converter results or the latest news in real time.

MORE TRANSPARENCY
If you use Ghostery Start Tab together with “Ghostery – Privacy Ad Blocker”, you can easily view various privacy statistics when you open a new tab. The overview shows you how many trackers and ads Ghostery has blocked in total and how many private data points have been anonymized.

MORE STYLE
Easily give new tabs a fresh look with background images! There are various stylish patterns and motifs to choose from.

MORE FAVORITES
Ghostery Start Tab provides more space for your favorite websites. Up to 18 bookmark tiles automatically display your most visited pages. You can manually add your favorite sites to six more tiles.

MORE NEWS
Stay on top of the news with Ghostery Start Tab! It can display the latest news from respected and trustworthy news domains. Choose from German, French, British, US, Spanish, Italian, Polish, and Russian news sources.

MORE FREEDOM
Simply click on the gear icon in the upper right corner to customize Ghostery Start Tab to your needs. You can change the background image, switch each feature (search bar, most visited sites, favorites, privacy statistics, news) on/off, and select the Top News edition displayed on Ghostery Start Tab.
